Philippe Coutinho in line for Liverpool return at Southampton in cup tie

Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho is poised to return to the squad for the Capital One Cup quarterfinal against Southampton on Wednesday, manager Jurgen Klopp has said. The Merseysiders have been without the Brazil international since he suffered a hamstring injury in the 4-1 win at Manchester City earlier this month. But speaking after his side's 1-0 win over Swansea at Anfield on Sunday, Klopp said: "Philippe had a very intensive session [on Saturday], but we decided two or three days ago that we didn't want to risk him for this game.
